How does matching work?

If you are a customer

Once Ayika understands what you need, it looks for providers who offer that service, work in your area and are available.

It ranks them by how well they fit the job, how close they are and how they've done on Ayika before. Then it sends your request to the top few.

If nobody in that group accepts, it sends the request to a few more. Providers who already got it can still say yes. The first one to accept gets the job. If every provider in a group declines, Ayika moves on straight away.

When someone accepts, you'll hear about it in the chat. Then you pay the commitment fee to confirm.

If nobody can take it, the request ends without a match. You can try again now, try again later, change the time, or ask Ayika to tell you when someone is available. There is a limit on how many times you can retry in a day.

A provider is never matched to their own request.

If you are a provider

You only get offers when all of these are true:

  • you have a service area that covers the job's location;
  • your working hours are open at the time of the job. For a job needed now, your hours at the current time count;
  • you are online, and not suspended or paused;
  • at least one of your services is live and not under review;
  • you are verified, if your market requires it;
  • you do not owe Ayika more than the limit.

New providers rank at the average until they have a record, so you are not placed last for being new. Your acceptance rate, cancellations, completed jobs, response time and ratings all feed your standing. Cancelling after you accept lowers it. A job that is cancelled because the customer never paid does not count against you. The Jobs page tells you what is stopping offers, if anything is.
